:: Hong Kong Grid Initiative Opening Ceremony ::

Hong Kong Grid Initiative is opened officially in the banquet of the international conference Cluster 2003 on Dec. 3, 2003. Dr. Lionel Ni from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology gave a opening talk. He mentioned that the objectives of HKGrid are (1)to facilitate the development of grid applications/middleware for the local industry and institutions; (2)to make grid computing work in Hong Kong. And in the future, HKGrid will have connections and collaborations with China Vega Grid and France-Asia Grid.
